Having lived on four continents (and traveling to a fifth), Pedro brings a global perspective to his corporate engagement role on the ACES advancement team. He manages, develops, and executes comprehensive engagement strategies with select corporations for the College of ACES and its academic and research programs.
Pedro is no stranger to the academic environment. He conducted agricultural economics research, collaborating with the National Oceanographic Association and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, at the University of Kentucky for four years. He also has experience, as an agronomist, in agricultural operations, management, and sales; and has been instrumental in his family business in Brazil since 1992. Pedro holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy, master’s degree in agricultural economics, and an MBA.
In his free time, Pedro enjoys spending time with his wife Maria Regina and their kitten Blue, and cockatiels Bela and Bob. He also appreciates the opportunity to visit his parents, immediate family, and friends in Brazil. Pedro played competitive volleyball for 24 years, and still plays sports as a hobby.
