Matt Smith brings his experience in the food and hospitality industry to benefit the College of ACES. He is responsible for securing private support for the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics, Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, and the Division of Nutritional Sciences. Matt earned his B.S. in Food and Nutrition at Southern Illinois University. He also holds a masters of business administration. Prior to joining the ACES advancement team, Matt oversaw sales and marketing at Allerton Park and Retreat Center.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their son Oliver and daughter Charlie. He still finds time to cheer on the Illini, travel, and play with their black Labrador, Abby.
