Turner Hall was my home away from home for four years as an undergrad Agronomy major. I still utilize those things I learned 20 years ago. Turner Hall is the face of Illinois Agronomy and our investment in this renovation will allow us to better recruit top talent, create a great learning environment and utilize the latest tools in teaching our future leaders.

Dow Chemical Company Foundation pledged $2.5 million for improvements to the University of Illinois—$1million of the gift will go toward renovations at Turner Hall.
About the gift, Chancellor Phyllis Wise said “As a land-grant university, education in the sciences and agriculture are among our top priorities. Competitive facilities and technology will help our faculty prepare our students to answer the most critical questions of today and tomorrow.
“We are an established university, and we love our historic buildings,” Wise said. “However, some of them must be brought up to date to better accommodate our outstanding faculty and students. Dow’s gift addresses one of our greatest needs.”
