Scholarships have become more important than ever, especially as prospective students weigh their options on where they will go to college. With scholarships being the number one funding priority, this fund provides critical unrestricted scholarship support. Gifts to the ACES Scholarship Fund serve a variety of needs, including, but not limited to, undergraduate and graduate student tuition assistance, student recruitment and retention, need-based scholarships, and merit-based support.
I Pay It Forward: Students Helping Students Scholarship Campaign
The I Pay It Forward: Students Helping Students Scholarship Campaign was created in Spring 2014 by College of ACES students who decided to rally together in an effort to support one another. This fund is used to provide critical financial need-based scholarships to College of ACES students who are at-risk of having to leave college due to financial hardship. To date, this fund has raised nearly $40,000 from students, alumni and friends of the college.
During the month-long campaign in Spring 2016, ACES students will strive to raise $25,000 to create a permanent endowment at the University of Illinois Foundation. With that goal reached, the fund will be invested in perpetuity and future College of ACES students will benefit from annual scholarships made possible with the endowment income.
The College of ACES is family. We believe it is imperative that this family continue to look out for each other so that no one is left behind. Let's join together and pay it forward!
JBT Scholarship Fund
For over 30 years, the College of ACES has awarded Jonathan Baldwin Turner (JBT) Scholarships to outstanding incoming freshmen on the basis of their academic achievements, leadership potential and interest in an ACES major. Your support will help us continue this vital program.
Jesse C. Thompson Scholarship Fund
This fund provides scholarships for former Research Apprentice Program participants who enroll in an ACES major. Students often cite financial assistance as a primary factor in selecting an institution and major. Jesse C.
