Marise Robbins-Forbes

Director of Development

Working in the Department of Crop Sciences, Marise is excited to be serving in developing the opportunities for students and faculty in the department. She is working to organize efforts on a facilities improvement and student support campaign for NRES and Crop Sciences.

Before ACES, Marise was the Chief Advancement Officer for the Graduate College at the University of Illinois. Other positions she previously held include: Director of Development for the Illinois Environmental Fundraising Collaborative (a project of the Lumpkin Family Foundation and Grand Victoria Foundation), Executive Director of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, and Associate Director of Major Gifts & Director of Academic Grant Development for Millikin University.

Marise holds three degrees in the sciences from Indiana University. Her early years as a professional were spent in Florida managing land use and wetland permitting projects for an environmental engineering firm. She is a limnologist and professional wetland scientist by training.
